The family of Jocelyn Nungaray, the 12-year-old Texas girl who was allegedly strangled to death and thrown in a creek by a pair of Venezuelan migrants, received more donations than their initial goal in just a matter of hours.
A GoFundMe page set up on behalf of the Nungaray family raised more than $53,000 over the weekend, surpassing the original request of $35,000.
Houston Mayor John Whitmire also announced at a public vigil on Friday that local business owner and philanthropist Jim McIngvale would be covering all funeral expenses, KHOU 11 reported.
“She was goofy, had her own personality,” Jocelyn’s mother, Alexis Nungaray, said at the vigil. “One of a kind. Trendsetter. Loved, loved animals.”
“I was looking forward to seeing how beautiful she was going to be,” the grieving mom added.
Two Venezuelan nationals were arrested and charged with capital murder by the Houston Police Department on Thursday in connection to the terrible crime, which sparked a national outcry after Jocelyn’s body was found in a shallow swampy area.
Johan Jose Rangel Martinez, 21, and Franklin Jose Pena Ramos, 26, were seen on surveillance camera near a convenience store that Jocelyn walked to after sneaking out of her home Sunday night, Breitbart News reported.
Social media users have begun blaming the vicious murder on the Biden administration’s border policies and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
Yet another life cut short from the illegals the biden administration has allowed to infect this nation. Their claim our borders are secure. this lie said with confidence that everyone will accept as truth. The truth is evident that we no longer have a government that serves. it now rules. it has cost the life of this beautiful young lady who will never get to live a life that could bring much joy to herself and others. a crime that must be held accountable.
As we have witnessed we have a justice system that is now used to serve a select few. Each passing day exposes the corruption. each day we fail to see action that prosecutes the truly guilty while incarcerating the people that demand the corruption be delt with. The corrupt actions center within one party primarily. Lets be clear it exists in both parties. the targets are dependent upon who is in power.
The word power is the key. each party having the power. To do what? it has come down to who can spend the most money that has nearly bankrupt the people. bankrupt our financial system. bankrupt our educational system. bankrupt our moral system. Yet they stand up and tell us that we are in great shape as a nation.
We see murders rise each day as more of our young are murdered and taken by human traffickers. and their answer is always the same. ban the assault rifles that are used in less than one tenth of one percent of crimes. our courts use the same catch and release we use on a fishing trip. people that commit crimes before their court date. we see many with multiple deportations let back out while we have citizens that have sat for years with frivolous charges that were done on Jan 6 because they chose to exercise their free speech.
It is clear to me that it isnt only the ones who are guilty who murdered Jocelyn Nungaray. it includes every one of the corrupt government justice system who should have removed these illegals. We have the technology. build a prison that would be called a prison. We have a desert that we could build that needs no fences. allow them only shorts to have and only flip flops to use for shoes. build it underground. with only one entrance. we can build tunnels a mile deep. any problems we turn off the lights and they get no food for a week. we need to send the corrupt politicians down there as well.
We see the corrupt held to a different standard than the citizen. the claim of government immunity works for only the left. denied for any in the republican party. It seems our government no longer wants to protect children like Jocelyn. it becomes more important to protect the rights of illegals that claim political asylum.
We see why they want to get rid of the guns. they know that parents will take action to protect their children and they will be in the line of fire. It is time to act and honor the memory of Jocelyn and rid our nation of the infection of illegals and corrupt politicians. Time to choose.——- I, Grampa
