If you need even more proof that the ugly face of antisemitism is female, here you go:
UN Women, the self-described “global champion for gender equality,” has deleted their post from last week that condemned the rapes and murders of Israeli women at the hands of Hamas.
UN Women were heavily criticized for their weeks-long silence following the October 7 massacre in Israel, which saw countless Israeli women raped, tortured, and murdered at the hands of Hamas terrorists. They initially paid lip service to the horrors inflicted upon these women — a full week after the attacks — by tweeting:
UN Women condemns the attacks on civilians in Israel & the Occupied Palestinian Territories, & is deeply alarmed by the devastating impact on civilians including women & girls. International Humanitarian Law & Human Rights Law must be respected & upheld.
Wow, can you feel the passion? They followed up this lackluster statement by basically telling Israel not to avenge the atrocities visited upon their women and girls by the terrorists of Gaza.
In the weeks following these underwhelming statements, the UN Women social media accounts went on a sustained effort to parrot Hamas talking points by calling repeatedly for a ceasefire and talking solely about the plight of women in Gaza. One tweet read: “We remain deeply concerned about the well-being of women & girls in #Gaza & their dire need for safety & protection from all forms of violence. We met with Palestinian women’s organizations & reiterated our support to women & girls in #Gaza & the Occupied Palestinian Territory.”
Their silence about what happened to the women of Israel was deafening.
A full seven weeks after the October 7 massacre, and after numerous confirmations of the horrors that befell Jewish women and girls that day, the organization finally saw fit to condemn Hamas on an Instagram post:
“We condemn the brutal attacks by Hamas on October 7 and continue to call for the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages.”
Hardly a full-throated denunciation of the atrocities committed by Hamas, but about what you’d expect from an antisemitic organization when faced with its blatant hypocrisy.
Their half-hearted support for Israel was short-lived, however; the organization soon deleted their message of condemnation and replaced it with a call for the release of “hostages.” Not “Israeli hostages.” Not “Israeli women hostages.” Not “hostages brutalized and kidnapped by Hamas.” Just, you know, hostages.
Their explanation of the backtracking was even more tepid than their forced condemnation of Hamas. Spokeswoman Inés Esteban González offered this rewriting of history:
“UN Women social media team had pre-planned days in advance [of] this particular post, but then the news broke on the release of hostages and we really wanted to focus on that,” she said. “UN Women has condemned the attacks by Hamas and the deaths of Israeli civilians from the beginning as well as called for the release of hostages, and we will continue doing so until the conflict ends. We have also called for all allegations of gender-based violence to be rigorously investigated, prioritizing the rights, needs, and safety of those affected.”
The lack of support from this so-called women’s organization has not gone unnoticed, and many women on social media have attempted to call awareness to the situation by using the hashtag “#MeToo_UNless_UR_A_Jew.”
The message from UN Women is clear: Sexual assault and murder is a-okay when it’s done to Jewish women. And it’s not just them, the entire United Nations body is guilty of this barbaric way of thinking. The UN General Assembly in October passed a resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, but declined, as a group, to condemn the Hamas terrorist attacks.
It’s a shameful display of antisemitism and a sick, very specific form of actual misogyny. And American taxpayers are expected to subsidize it.
Feminism has destroyed the hearts of women. They are willing to kill their babies that they shamelessly conceived, when it would be so simple to use readily available contraception. They have no concern for women in other countries who suffer mutilation and degradation. It’s no surprise that they have no concern for the brutal desecration and murder of Israeli women. The View is a sampling of the woman of today. Opinionated, selfish, egotistical and completely unfeeling.
