Jimmy Kimmel Gets His Feelings Hurt and Slams Aaron Rodgers, Rodgers Responds With the Takedown

Jimmy Kimmel went on a seven-minute monologue slamming Aaron Rodgers recently, including making fun of the fact that the NFL quarterback started out attending a community college. That has now led to Rodgers responding with an absolute takedown.

How did we get to this point? Kimmel initially called Rodgers an “overly concussed wacko” because the quarterback discussed the Epstein client list during an interview. In response, Rodgers suggested on another episode of Pat McAfee’s show that the comedian’s protestations could mean Kimmel doesn’t want the list to come out for some reason.

RODGERS: A lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, are really hoping that doesn’t come out.

While there was no direct allegation that Kimmel was on the list, the comment still severely triggered the late-night host, who has gone after Rodgers in the past over his views on COVID-19 mitigation.

Keep in mind that Kimmel is complaining about someone spreading what he considers to be an unfounded rumor, which is exactly what he did regarding Donald Trump for years on end when it came to the Russian collusion nonsense. Apparently, Kimmel can dish it out but when someone mentions him, he cries foul and claims his family is being put in danger.

The late-night host wasn’t done being chafed, though. He then went on an extended tirade on his show against Rodgers.

KIMMEL: A guy who went to community college, then got into Cal on a football scholarship & didn’t graduate, someone who never spent a minute on studying the human body is an expert in the field of immunology. Just put on a magic helmet and that “G” made him a genius. Aaron Rodgers got two A’s on his report card, and they were both in the word, “Aaron.”

Of note is that Kimmel went to Arizona State University, which will accept almost anyone with a pulse. Also of note is that Kimmel is likewise not an expert in the field of immunology, but he spent countless hours on his show ranting against anyone who questioned the dominant COVID-19 narrative. Further of note is that Kimmel’s rise to prominence happened as he wore blackface and made boob jokes while Rodgers climbed the ranks of a highly-competitive sport to become one of the best to ever play the game.

There was a lot more in Kimmel’s rant, but you get the idea. He got his feelings hurt so he had his team of writers draw up some bad jokes so he could slap back at Rodgers. Why did the comedian even get upset that Rodgers mentioned the Epstein client list as if it’s some grand conspiracy that the pedophile had clients?

The quarterback didn’t let things lie, though. He went back on McAfee’s show and initiated a takedown.

RODGERS: was referring to the fact that if there is a list, which again, this hasn’t come out yet, this was just a deposition, right, and there are names on it, then that would mean this was the second time that a soft-brained, junior college student, wacko, anti-vax, antisemite, purveyor, spreader of misinformation, conspiracy theorist, MAGA, whatever other things have been said by him and other people in the media would be right twice.
Number two, I totally understand how serious an allegation of pedophilia would be so for him to be upset about that, I get it. Did you watch the quote? Because that’s exactly what I said (see quote at beginning of article). Verbatim, what I said on the show. I’m not stupid enough, even though you think I’m an idiot, and you’ve made a lot of comments about my intelligence, but I’m not stupid enough to accuse you of that with absolutely zero concrete evidence. That’s ridiculous.
So I’m glad, and I think we can agree on something, is that one, those crimes are heinous, and two, I’m glad you’re not on the list because those that are on the list, and this is what I think we can agree on, there should be an inquiry on their involvement, especially if they went to the island, and at maximum, there should be an investigation into it. So I hope that you’ll give this same type of energy to these heinous crimes when they do come out, and the names come out, and there is an inquiry into it that you gave to other subjects that I actually mentioned that you spent a lot of time working on.

In the end, Kimmel comes out looking weak in this ordeal. Had he just made a couple of jokes in response to Rodgers’ comment, it would have been one thing. But to get all huffy on social media and then sic his team of writers on the quarterback for a seven-minute cry session showed that this was no longer a joking matter. Rodgers got under Kimmel’s skin and the late-night host couldn’t take the heat. Maybe he should stick to whispering sweet-nothings into Joe Biden’s ear in the future.
