Bernie Sanders Damns Joe Biden Debate Performance With Faint Praise: ‘Not Terribly Articulate’

As if the Biden campaign didn’t already have enough to worry about, now they have lost Bernie Sanders. That’s right – the daffy old Bolshevik from Vermont has panned Joe Biden’s Thursday evening debate performance as “not terribly articulate,” among other things; and he’s not really unjustified in this.

It’s tempting to ask exactly what “strong record” Vermont’s favorite commie is talking about – the inflation? The millions pouring into our country illegally across the southern border? The disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan? The reduction in energy production leading to high fuel prices? The clear and present, physical and mental deterioration of a man who is supposedly the leader of the free world? Where, exactly, is this strong record?

Bernie went on to say:

Criticizing the president for not “being loud and clear” while insisting that he has some kind of strong record is, first of all, damning with faint praise, and second, the grossest understatement since 1945, when the Japanese emperor Hirohito observed that the war in the Pacific had not “…developed entirely in Japan’s favor.” We have never known Sanders to be a master of near-British level understatement, but here he is, understating one of the biggest understatements that was ever understated.

The fun thing about all this is Bernie himself. Sanders has never held an honest job in his life. He failed as a carpenter. He has a gift for polemics, which has enabled him to have a political career despite his overwhelming economic illiteracy. He even honeymooned with actual Communists in the Soviet Union, where he may well have been better off staying put rather than attempting to import his Bolshevism to the United States.

What makes one want to scratch their head in wonder, though, is that Bernie would feel any need at all to offer support to a Democrat front-runner. After the way the party froze him out in the 2016 and 2020 races, you would think he would harbor some resentment. But Bernie, like all leftists, exhibits–more than anything else–his support for the side. You have to hand it to them – they stick together, often better than the GOP does. Indeed, one might almost call them collectivists.

As for the GOP, the best thing they could do about Bernie is to encourage him to keep speaking.

  1. bernz ‘saying’ that anyone is “not terribly articulate” has got to be the most humorous comment I have seen so far today, but it is still early afternoon so someone might just trump (pun intended) him 😉
