On Tuesday, Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin released a disturbing video of a mass crossing of illegal immigrants into the United States at Eagle Pass, Texas. Most of the illegal border-crossers were trafficked in by cartels, and at least 50 unaccompanied children were among the numbers, including some as young as seven and ten.
The entire X post reads:
NEW: As we wait for Homan/Abbott to arrive in Eagle Pass, TX, we witnessed another mass illegal crossing of 200+ in pre dawn hours, including 50 unaccompanied children. A Honduran teen boy told us his cousin paid $6,000 to smuggle him into U.S., & we talked to two girls, ages 7 & 10, who were completely alone & said they have family waiting for them in the U.S. after they were trafficked across the border.
Even if we set aside the legalities of all this, and we shouldn’t, there is an enormous humanitarian crisis going on at our southern border. In Melugin’s video, we see the two girls mentioned in the text, ages 7 and 10, and there they are, apparently in the middle of the night, and when asked where their family was, all they could reply is “the United States, in Texas.”
Texas is a big place. And there’s no guarantee that these little girls will end up with any family members, or that there are any family members in Texas awaiting them. And what kind of monster hands two little girls over to cartels to be trafficked across the border with no adults accompanying them?
These are the people our border patrol and immigration officials are dealing with.

Texas has been at the forefront of this invasion and has had to contend with the Biden administration frustrating every attempt the Lone Star State makes to gain some control of the border. In addition to going hammer and tongs against the Biden administration over border barriers, Texas, along with Florida, has been busing illegal immigrants to “sanctuary” jurisdictions, where one would think they would be welcome. Incoming Border Czar Tom Homan has vowed to use the law to go after “sanctuary city” officials who attempt to shield illegal aliens from deportation, even to threaten the Mayor of Denver, Colorado with jail.
Once Tom Homan steps into his new role, taking over from the inept and ineffective Kamala Harris, we will certainly see some changes. There’s a new sheriff in town. And it sure looks like he is intending to get the job done.
