Remember when the notion of a dude entering a women’s bathroom would have been derided as a scandal? When any dude who attempted this would be subject to cries of outrage and possible (likely) arrest?
Now, of course, all the dude has to do is “identify” as a woman, and any actual women who object are told to mind their place. At least, that seems to be the state of affairs in Colorado.
Some female staffers in the Colorado Capitol reportedly disturbed by having to share the women’s restroom with a biological male aide are allegedly being bullied into submission.
A press conference held on the steps outside the Colorado Capitol on April 30 saw men and women alike coalescing against transgender ideology – both the argument at stake in a controversial bill touted as a threat to parental rights and in the case involving the staffers.
“They are being squished, being told to be quiet, sit down, shut up and know your place. When did we go back to that? Women no longer have rights to this [privacy]?” State Rep. Scott Bottoms, a Republican representing the 15th district, said from the steps.
“I’m telling you – from me personally – enough is enough,” he said.
Can we dispense with the “biological male” horse squeeze? Sex is a matter of biology. “Biological male” is a redundancy. This is a man. That’s all. And enough, in this case, would appear to be far too much. The women objecting are, as noted above, being told to sit down and shut up. I thought the left was against women being told to mind their place?
Several staffers are objecting formally:
A copy of a formal three-page complaint letter addressed to Democratic Colorado House Speaker Julie McCluskie was provided to Fox News Digital.
The document reads in part, “[This transgender aide] has created an environment that feels increasingly hostile and unsafe… this situation has escalated beyond a manageable level for us.”
Now, we might note, that if the “transgender” individual was indeed suffering from gender dysphoria, this likely wouldn’t have been an issue; for one thing, people who actually suffer from gender dysphoria as a rule don’t want to be visibly “transgender,” and try to blend in – and all this person would have had to do is go quietly into a stall and close the door, and would have drawn little notice. But as is so often the case, drawing notice appears to be precisely what this person wanted to do:
Bottoms claimed the transgender aide involved in the complaint followed the other aides around, “stalking” and “threatening” them through body language, something both the complaint and one of the female aides involved in the incident reaffirmed when speaking to Fox News Digital.
“It’s an intimidation tactic… it’s being done to make us feel uncomfortable,” the aide said. She explained that the legislative offices in a building located across from the Capitol are essentially divided – one side for Republicans and another side for Democrats.
Yes, it’s an attempt at intimidation by an activist. Let’s call it what it is.

The (unnamed) person in question does suffer from a mental disorder, but it’s not gender dysphoria. It’s more likely malignant narcissism with a healthy dose of self-loathing and, yes, misogyny; this guy feels some perverse need to make women feel uncomfortable, to force his will upon them. Now he has found a social contagion that will allow him to do so, knowing that politicians on the left, who make up the majority of Colorado’s government, will tiptoe quietly away.
Colorado has fallen far and fast. It’s a shame what has happened to what was once a great state. But in this case, at least, with Rep. Scott Bottoms’ support, we can hope for a little justice for these put-upon Capitol staffers. And we can hope that this dude will be kicked out of their private spaces.
