Byron Donalds Goes to Town on Dems’ ‘No Evidence’ Line With Receipts During Impeachment Inquiry

The impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden finally got underway on Thursday into the Biden foreign business dealings scandal.

Even though there has been all kinds of evidence laid out in stories that we’ve reported on for three years, the Democratic response to this seems to be to stick their head in the sand and claim, “Nothing to see here.” No evidence of any connection to Joe Biden.

We’re only on the first day of the inquiry, and already, that talking point is flying out the window as Republicans blow it up.

Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) lit them up as he laid out the case. As Donalds noted, he used to work in community banking, so he had some working knowledge of the efforts to hide things in shell companies. He laid out that question about the IRS team’s chart of the Biden company organizational structure for forensic accountant and witness Bruce Dubinsky. Donalds asked what Dubinsky would think.

Dubinsky said he saw a structure that would give him concern as an investigator.

Then, Donalds began to lay out messages for the witnesses to comment on.

He asked about the transfer of ownership interest that Devon Archer passed on to his wife. “When you see a situation where ownership interest moves from one spouse to the other, is that a concern of some level of fraud potentially?” Donalds inquired.

Dubinsky said it would raise a red flag for him. We’ve written about that transfer of the BHR Partners interest and noted they were still communicating with Devon Archer.

Donalds also referenced a WhatsApp message between Hunter and his uncle Jim Biden, which said he, Jim, had been brought in “purely for the purpose of protecting Dad.”  He asked former Assistant Attorney General Eileen O’Connor if she thought this kind of message should lead the Committee to get further information about the business dealings and how this pertained to “protecting Dad.” She said yes.

Then Donalds pulled up the famous text message where Hunter is grousing about having to pay for everything for the family for “30 years,” and he tells his daughter that “unlike pop [Joe Biden], I wouldn’t make you give me half your salary.”  Donalds then asked Dubinsky if, in such a situation of a money laundering or pay-for-play operation, he would be looking for money going from son to father.

“Absolutely, without a doubt,” Dubinsky replied.

Donalds then presented another message from Jim Biden to Hunter Biden when Hunter was messed up on drugs. Jim said in the message that [instead of going through Hunter], “I can work with your father alone!!! We as usual just need several months of his help for this to work.” He asked O’Connor what she thought, and she said it was worth investigating.

Donalds just laid out a great net of how there was all kinds of Joe Biden connection, with a lot of “protecting” him going into the bargain, with shell companies with no business behind them, yet millions of dollars coming in.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see what was going on.
